Surf4Life was founded in 2011 as a surf event to help aid cancer treatment for a dear friend Taryn Pratt.
Taryn was such an amazing person who lived a life full of faith. Generously loving and accepting everyone she met, and her dedication and commitment towards surfing and the surfing community was inspirational.
Growing Surf4Life from an event into an organisation is something that we feel very passionate about and we are excited about the prospects it holds for the future and development of surfing in South Africa, and the lives that we can change in the process.
The Surf4Life events are close to our hearts and we feel this is a great opportunity to celebrate such an incredible person, who had a positive influence in so many people’s lives, especially within the surf industry.
The Surf4Life organisation through the Surf4Life events, funding and sponsorships, aims to take disadvantaged people and introduce them to the wonderful world of surfing, making them part of a lifestyle that celebrates the fun and excitement of surfing. Its all about developing people, building friendships, and welcoming people into the surfing family.
